Facebook is damn challenging as they are very strict with what ads they accept. Plus to succeed with FB, you really gotta split test many variations of ads. That includes your ad copy and especially your pictures. You need to find the combination of ad copy, demographics and pictures to achieve the highest CTR. Not recommended for beginners as you can blow through your bank roll very easily.
CPA polls is a little bit easier to get into. Basically it involves coming up with a poll topic from some popular current event. The goal is to create a question that is personal and emotional that will force your visitors to vote, and eventually fill in the email or zip on an offer. CPA polls are a really good introduction to PPC as they teach you many of the aspects you need to do well as a pay per click marketer.
