The first thing to do when launching your site, is to choose what niche to be in. For a successful Adsense site, you want to choose a niche that has a decent amount of traffic, a reasonable amount of competition and the traffic has to be in demand by Adsense publishers. Your Adsense site needs to meet all these criteria before moving forward. My tools of choice for finding these candidate niche topics are Market Samurai and Keyword Elite 2.
